These songs are strays. Outtakes, alternate versions, lathe tracks, comp tracks, that sort of thing. Together, they do a fine job of summing up a decade of sound. Thanks to all the labels who originally released these.
'Subterfuge (Negative Rush)' was recorded during "Jewels from the House of Worms" (A Guide To Saints). 'Doppelganger' was intended for an unrealized Twin Peaks-themed compilation. 'Correspondent' was released on "Ten Years Of Trash" (Head Destroyer) and is a shorter, slightly different mix of 'Correspondent (Quiet)' appearing on "Taciturn, Moribund" (Flag Day Recordings). 'In The Heart of Time (Field of Windows)' was released on "Adjacent Music" (Miracle Pond) and is an early mix of 'In The Heart of Time' appearing on "Seeking Fragrance" (Adversary). 'With Night' and 'Veiled' were released as a 7" lathe cut by Humanhood Recordings. 'Satan Strung Pearls' was released on "Rural Electronics" (Adversary). '[blank]' was released on "○ [Blank Tape Compilation Vol. 2]" (Steep Gloss). 'Souvenir (Lo-Fi)' was released on "Tired Hands" (Worn Habit) and is a low fidelity live recording of 'Souvenir' appearing on "Lacerations" (Hooker Vision).
